I knew Stella when she was a puppy. Here she is taking her horse buddy, Lester, for a walk.

Stella is a German Shepherd. Her owner Mike tells her story:

What makes Stella happiest is to be with her family’s grandkids. When we are out for a walk, If she recognizes the car coming with the grandkids, she turns around and hurries home. She loves do her special tricks to play hide and seek with the kids. Then the kids hide treats all over and she finds them.

I will always remember one night when at 1 AM Stella urgently woke me up and had to go out. When I let her out in the backyard, she flew past me and quickly wanted back in and burst past me up the stairs. Suddenly, my wife was yelling “GET OUT! GET OUT!!” When I headed upstairs, I got the whiff of a putrid smell and Stella rolling in our bed (my side!). Yes, she had a brief tangle with a skunk. Stella ended up outside and we ended up in another bedroom……we laugh about it now but we didn’t then!
