Whirley’s real name is Whirlwind. Her owner, Sue, explains: We adopted her from the Dearborn Animal Shelter in Dearborn, Michigan. She, along with 27 other dogs and cats, were taken out of the shelter in Florida before Hurricane Dorian hit. She has been a great dog to train, as she is game for anything I would like to do with her. She has the highest level title in agility and Rally obedience. She has upper level titles in obedience and scent work. We also have titles and play in barn hunt, tracking, weight pull and disc dog.
Her AKC name is Whirley Whirlwind Wind of Dorian. Her DNA test says 75% American Staffordshire Terrier and 12.5% Poodle and 12.5% Schnauzer! That’s why we call her a Whirleydoodle!
